Vinous-throated Parrotbill
Daurian Redstart
Elegant Bunting
Great Tit (South Korea)
Brown-eared Bulbul

I have been to South Korea just once. I was invited as a key note speaker on a conference about a standard I had been working with. ISO 26262 is the name of the standard and it is about safety in automotive electronics.

I flew into Incheon and stayed in central Seoul for three days. I did have half a day on my own, which did not leave much for neither traveling nor to visit many places.

I stayed around the hotel and was satisfied with that. Unfortunately the trip was in early March when most migrating birds had yet not arrived. Anyway, I got a few nice observations.

During one lunch break I grabbed my camera and ventured into a small park and an adjacent creek. Here I saw Daurian Redstart couple. They accompanied me for some time and was not frightened by my presence. It was a little dark so the ISO was fairly high but I think the result is Ok.

In the busting bird life I spotted many peculiar species, many sparrows etc. The most memorable sighting was probably the Elegant Bunting along with the little parrotbill..
